Moon is a loveable and kind dog that lives in a toy store. Moon loves all the toys, but secretly he loves a little porcelain cat who he calls Star. On Christmas Eve, a richly dressed woman buys Star, much to Moon's despair. However, an angelic woman visits Moon and he, and the reader, discover that magical and wondrous things are possible.
